As part of a diverse Group Accounting Policy team, you will be involved in complex IFRS matters affecting the Group as part of the ongoing IFRS 17/9 implementation. You will drive and shape the way how IFRS 17/9 results are presented to external stakeholders and support colleagues across the Group with expert accounting advice. You will be actively engaging with other functions and support others through change to make change happen.

What you will do

• Develop guidance and support local units on complex accounting issues arising with the implementation of IFRS 17 and 9


• As part of cross-functional team develop the Group Disclosures under IFRS 17 and 9 and support validating the disclosures as part of parallel runs and review with the auditors.


• Review existing Group processes and make them IFRS 17 ready (e.g., definition of cash generating units and goodwill impairment test)


• Seize opportunities for alignment between different GAAPs to create value through a consistent reporting framework (Swiss Solvency Test, Swiss local statutory and IFRS, including IFRS 17 and IFRS 9)


• Support new initiatives, including M&A transactions

What you bring

• University degree in Finance or similar education


• Profound understanding of IFRS framework and operational accounting under IFRS, including IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts, and at least 8 years of relevant experience preferably with an audit, insurance or other financial services company


• Ability and experience communicating with senior management and influencing internal stakeholders


• Willing to take ownership, able to work under pressure, collaborate and build alignment through partnership


• Fluent spoken and written English, German would be an asset
