Business Intelligence Manager 80%-100%

We are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Manager for Group Security, to lead a small team of functional experts that will (a) research political subjects such as foreign relations, political and economic trends and their impact on Zurich, and (b) conduct quality and insightful research, analysis activities along with open source information gathering (i.e. OSINT) aimed at supporting investigations (e.g. Digital Footprints) and in particular the open source collection of information that will support Group Security’s various activities aimed at preventing threats to Zurich and its employees.  The role involves collaborating with all functions within Group Security and involvement in other Group Security activities. 


 


What you will do
 



  • Monitor current events, political decisions and legislative changes to stay abreast of international trends and developments and their potential impact on Zurich.

  • Stay up-to-date with worldwide security threats/events. 

  • Collect and analyze information relevant to the objectives relating to the nature of the work (OSINT, due diligence, M&As, geopolitical developments).

  • Report open source collected information in various formats aimed at supporting various functions within Group Security.

  • Produce timely planned political, economic and social focused unbiased reporting to the Group Chief Security Officer.

  • Design and develop appropriate material for presentational use for regular and ad-hoc meetings to senior management.

  • Take responsibility for ad-hoc projects and initiatives on behalf of the Group Chief Security Officer as appropriate.

  • Leads a team of 3 direct reports, ensuring awareness of deliveries and objectives as well as reviewing performance and providing on-going formal and informal feedback.



What you bring
 



  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 10 or more years of experience in related field. Studies in Political, International, Economic or Computer Sciences field are preferable.

  • Strong interest in data gathering and reporting and a passion for the internet and investigative tools.

  • Strong intellectual curiosity.

  • Excellent experience in research techniques and usage of IT applications, including data collection and analysis/research tools as well as internet search engines. 

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communications and vibrant critical thinking skills. 

  • Ability to correlate data.

  • Outstanding writing skills and ability to report on research findings clearly.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and inclined to work within an international environment.

  • Willing to work in a Team based environment and with other Groups Security functions.

  • A proven ability to create a trusted, transparent and enabled environment where each team member can work at their best.

  • Outstanding knowledge of Office support technologies, in particular Power Point and Excel.

  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of German, Spanish and/or Italian advantageous.
