The FORS Foundation is the Swiss Centre of Expertise in the Social Sciences. We implement large-scale national and international surveys, offer data and research information services to researchers and academic institutions, and conduct methodological and thematic research. The FORS Foundation acquires, documents, preserves and disseminates high quality quantitative and qualitative data and research information in conformity with national and international standards. We also make these data and services known and promote a research culture of data sharing and secondary analysis for the social sciences in Switzerland. FORS activities are financed the Swiss National Science Foundation and its host institution, the University of Lausanne.


To strengthen our team Data Tools & Services, we are looking for a


 


Project Manager (80-100%).

Information on the position


Starting date: as soon as possible, negotiable


Contract: Permanent contract


Workplace: Géopolis on the campus of the University of Lausanne


Salary: According to the University of Lausanne salary scheme.


The ideal candidate



  • Excellent fluency in English (German and/or French are assets)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management

  • Organizational and planning skills

  • Good writing and communication skills

  • Knowledge of SCRUM

  • Team spirit

  • Knowledge of the research data landscape (asset)

  • Good knowledge of the public sector (asset)

  • Master’s degree in Business/ Marketing/Communication/IT/Social Sciences


Job description


As a project manager, your transversal management skills will assure organizational stability of the running and future projects and services of the Data Tools & Services group.


More specifically, your tasks will include:



  • Budget management

  • Planning and monitoring the project

  • Risk and change management

  • Project development

  • Product ownership
