WinGD is looking for a
Combustion System Development Expert
Responsibilities
Combustion system development for advanced gas engine as well as possible future fuels (liquid & gaseous)
Influence of hardware (e.g. injectors or gas admission valves) design on spray & mixture formation
Ignition mechanisms & control
Performance (efficiency & emissions )optimization
Fundamental understanding for liquid and gaseous fuels of
Mixing/stratification processes & influence (including e.g. EGR)
Ignition processes
Autoignition in turbulent flow
Emissions formation
Influence of fuel & gas (chemistry) composition on the above
Requirements
M.Sc. equivalent or higher, background in chemistry, thermodynamics and CFD required
General knowledge and interest in engine thermodynamics required.
Theoretical knowledge and experience with CFD simulations of combustion processes required (specifically for internal combustion engines is beneficial)
Experience with GT-Power is beneficial
Ability to efficiently handle a wide range of tasks in parallel.
Communicate with both internal & external customers.
Strong communication & team player skills
3 years+ of relevant experience
Fluent in English (written & oral) is imperative, German beneficial
