About the Role
Would you like to shape with us the E2E contract´s (re/insurance) transformation across the whole company?
We offer you a phenomenal opportunity with reporting directly to the Head Process Excellence & Analytics for Group Contracts Transformation, Swiss Re Institute (SRI)!
You will be part of a robust team of professionals who will help execute on the E2E contract's transformation programme goals. Your primary accountabilities will include to define a clear performance transformational strategy with existing processes and applications for a Business Unit (BU), achieve horizontal integration, drive process excellence efforts, establish a methodology to define, monitor and control the adoption and sustainability of the programme at a BU-level.
You would also oversee the process excellence deployment for a BU and contribute to develop SRI's agenda.
Overall, the programme will change the way Swiss Re manages, retrieves and analyses its re/insurance contracts. Through this transformation we target to have real-time traceability, accountability and auditability of contracts across the value chain; enabled by horizontal and vertical system integration. This will include improved contract quality through cutting-edge technology; extract contract portfolio insights, trends and steer contract content and quality.
The programme is one of the six "must win" in Group Underwriting to maintain Swiss Re's excellence in the Re/Insurance underwriting domain.
In your role, you will:
Provide strategic counsel, support and insight and lead the BU-level process excellence engagement
Actively engage and collaborate with BU project team to drive business process excellence and deliver on the transformation using planning tools, techniques and methodologies
Analyse and measure the efficiency of existing business processes and develops/deploys improved, standardized, repeatable and quantifiable processes
Work with the BU to facilitate operational improvement meetings and workshops, incl, various sessions like brainstorming, business process reengineering, etc.
Lead and participate in complex studies to support the E2E Contracts Transformation
Work with Group Transformation and BU project teams to develop process guidelines, flowcharts, checklists, templates and implementation procedures (incl. training manuals)
Develop long-term process strategy for the e2e programme by working closely with the business units to drive solutions and influence the culture of process quality
Collaborate with IT, data scientist and business SMEs to develop and innovate effective contractual data monitoring, automation and reporting
Collaborate and provide recommendations for enhancement and development of our contract review tool and other new tech solutions
Assist in development of presentation materials for the Steering Boards and senior leadership
In the long run we will, implement industry benchmarked processes to continuously improve delivery, build sustainable processes, increase quality and deploy management systems to ensure continued success!
About You
Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive continuous improvement, analytical, project management or business analysis experience
Has a proven track-record in driving successful, complex projects
Proficient understanding and over 5-years of experience in Re/Insurance processes and tools
Thrives in a changing and often ambiguous environment with time pressure
Consultative approach, with interest in working with multi-locational/functional teams
Strong collaborative approach; express technical leadership supporting your views and ideas while staying open to different opinions
Has a strong bent and experience of using process mapping to question status quo
Hands-on experience working on MS Office tools, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal command of English; other languages are a plus
Ability to craft strong presentations and narratives that influence and commit people to change
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, quantify and utilise information to make recommendations that support business choices
Experience in using Business Process Management (BPM) tools & software will be an added advantage
Experience in Lean Six-Sigma and Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
