Graduate - Field Service Engineer Mass Spectrometry

When you work as a Field Service Engineer in Switzerland, you will join a highly experienced and technically specialist team. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer, our instruments are designed and manufactured to support our customers as they develop science.

During the Graduate Training Programme you will receive extensive technical training which will equip you to install and service instruments from Chromatography and Mass Spec Division. Our reputation is built on our customer service and equally important will be the training on providing customer service which allows our engineers to become trusted advisors to our customers.

Your responsibilities:

After necessary training period, the Graduate Engineer will be responsible for:



  • Installation of equipment

  • Maintenance and validation services

  • General customer support

  • Performing all Service Activities in line with internal processes and customer regulations

  • Installing and validating the instrument to meet the calibration of the equipment to ensure customer success using Thermo Fisher instruments.

  • Utilizing the Technical Support and diagnostic tools to ensure swift resolution of issues that demonstrates the range of services available to the customer.

  • Where possible, actively promoting our contract products.

  • Always ensuring highest professional relationship with our customer base to achieve customer loyalty

  • Following our ethical business conduct guidance.

  • Optimizing the own work schedule by coordinating with all the necessary partners for service planning/scheduling (Dispatching function, Team Leader, others).

Your profile:

  • Degree in Chemistry or Electronics (Bachelor) or equivalent

  • Fluent English, German/French would be a plus

  • Driving license

  • Excellent inter-personal, self-motivational and negotiating skills

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Willingness to travel mainly within the appointed region (Switzerland). For training or special calls, international traveling including all EMEA Territory and the US is required.
