Junior Packaging Designer

Your responsibilities:



  • Assists in all phases of the packaging development with sourcing activities for packaging prototypes and sample requests in contact with suppliers

  • Creates new or update existing packaging component numbers and specifications in the inventory system GPM and is responsible for the completeness and updates of packaging related technical documentation

  • Creation of more-dimensional (2D/3D) packaging concept visualizations, prototyping and/or the specification of packaging materials

  • Supports purchase orders of packaging samples, consumable materials and other components

  • Ensures the preparation and completion of packaging and process related technical and administrative documentation

  • Is responsible for the organization and update of the packaging component archive

  • Reorganizes the current packaging project archive system in consultation with the Packaging Designers/Engineers

  • Creates or updates instructional drawings, diagrams and illustrations for the use in job step related batch documents (e.g. filling plans, artworks, packaging process descriptions)

  • Assists quality related activities e.g. by executing action items, investigations, test preparations and executions

Your profile:

  • Higher educational certificate, technical, graphical or project oriented with degree level in relevant subject: Industrial Design or Packaging Design or equivalent

  • Ideally two years of professional experience in Design, Packaging Development (and Labelling)

  • A minimum of one year of experience with CAD software applications

  • Familiar with common graphical software applications e.g. Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and/or Corel Draw

  • Fluent communication skills in English and German

  • Basic knowledge of primary and secondary packaging materials and material characteristics, especially cardboard materials, thermo-formed and cold-formed containers preferable

  • Basic Project Management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment

  • First experience in the pharmaceutical or another strongly regulated environment would be a plus

  • Basic knowledge in Prepress and Artwork Management activities in cooperation with customers, printing agencies and material suppliers would be a plus
