Job Description


The Executive Communications Director identifies opportunities for valuable exposure of CEO and key leaders with our internal and external stakeholders. She/he is responsible to support Galderma’s executives with their communications needs and develop proactive communications plan. As part of the Global Communications team, she/he ensures message consistency across all Galderma communication channels and spokespersons.


Job Responsibilities



  • Lead and identify opportunities for deliberate, thoughtful exposure of CEO and key leaders in select business media and credible industry platforms that build Galderma's reputation

  • Craft and coordinate and be accountable for leadership communication activities including speeches, presentations, briefings, backgrounders, reports, high-level correspondence, and website content for Galderma’s CEO

  • As a member of the Global Communications team, collaborate with the Editorial and Design teams to bring our executive’s messaging and vision to life via compelling presentations and speeches

  • Partner with key stakeholders to gather content and assemble communications materials for key events and milestones

  • Develop and support internal and external strategic executive engagement plans for the CEO

  • Support CEO with non-Galderma activities such as board presentations, etc.

  • Lead and ensure logistics related to the CEO’s preparation and rehearsals and be on site days of events to manage logistics and handle executive needs (may require travel)

  • Pitch in, where appropriate, to help Global Communications team on high-priority corporate communications projects, regardless of executive being supported


Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field

  • 15+ years of experience in public relations and media relation

  • English native capacity with superior written and oral communication skills

  • Experience in working with, and creating and editing for C-suite leadership

  • Crisis communications and strategic planning experience

  • Experience sourcing stories and creative ideas

  • Has the ability to write, edit, and organize thoughts in a clear, concise, and well-organized manner

  • Operates with a sense of urgency, is highly responsive, stays ahead of deadlines, and demonstrates excellent execution and follow-through

  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly

  • Embraces a robust workplan that is a mix of strategic and tactical deliverables

  • Has strong leadership presence, emotional intelligence, and collaboration skills

  • Is a quick study on corporate and industry messaging

  • Understands and effectively communicates detailed business results and complex marketplace dynamics

  • Knows how to adapt messaging to different audiences
