Network Engineer 100% (m/w)

Ihre Aufgaben
Responsibilities:
Design templates, deploy and support of network side customer access equipment
Speak to customers via email and phone for 3rd level support and initial requirement capture for prospect or new installations
Support and administer internal and customers firewall environments in line with IT security policy
Design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation
Provide remote troubleshooting and fault-finding during installation or during production
Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
Provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation or fault management
Liaise with project management teams and service desk engineers on a regular basis
Support projects pre-sales team on customer solutions design
Off-hour on duty activity
Expected profile:
Ready to work with internal and external customers in collaboration with the customer project management office
Experience with operations of internal network infrastructure from a service provider perspective
Knowledge of service provider and enterprise related technologies: xDSL, WAN/LAN/Datacenter routing and switching protocols, MPLS-VPN, Firewalls
Ihre Kompetenzen
Your personal skills:
Experience with Cisco equipment (Cisco CCNA a plus)
Experience with Internet related technologies (MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS)
Experience with WAN/LAN protocols (Routing, Ethernet/Switching, VLAN, SDN)
Knowledge of DSL technologies, specific knowledge of Alcatel DSLAM would be a plus
Rigorous, methodical, ability for reporting, customer-oriented approach
Documentation skills
Organisation, ability to cope with various tasks and priorities
Open minded, capable of proposing innovative solutions
Fluent in French, English, German would be a plus
