As Enterprise/Field Marketing Manager, your focus will be on our top global and enterprise accounts across the Alps Business. With a customer-first mentality through ‘high touch’ marketing programs such as Account-based Marketing and Executive programs, you’ll build a thorough understanding of the customer journey of enterprise accounts, how to engage with IT decision-makers and where VMware and its ecosystem partners complement in helping customers transform their digital business.


Your responsibility covers all direct sales segments with accounts spanning key verticals such as e.g. Telco’s. Your role is strategic to the business and as such, it is imperative that you have strong planning, execution and project management skills, and the ability to effectively work with virtual teams from all parts of the business and manage stakeholders. By focusing on business outcomes and strategic IT priorities, you are supporting and driving VMware’s strategy in high-value accounts ensuring we deliver on our customers’ ambitions.

What will you be doing?



  • Driving the strategy, creativity and execution of post-deal account-based marketing in our largest accounts to fuel consumption in areas such as private cloud and anywhere workspace

  • Being a catalyst for change and adoption of ABM strategies, in collaboration with your EMEA and franchise teams, on a 1:few basis whether by vertical or solution focus

  • Ensuring we deliver on priority KPIs such as Executive Engagement and Influenced or Sourced Pipeline

  • Being a valuable contributor and extended resource to the enterprise sales teams by attending account business reviews and other meetings as appropriate, present marketing plans and updates to both sales as well as marketing leaders

  • Ensuring objectives, strategies and execution of both enterprise sales as well as marketing are aligned to ensure effective team working. Lead effective bi-directional communications with internal and external enterprise sales and other partners

  • Managing your part of the quarterly enterprise marketing budget plan, spend the budget compliantly and be accountable, track and measure return on investment according to budget, rules and guidelines


What are we looking for?



  • Ability to collaborate with all levels in a sales organization including senior (sales & marketing) leadership, regional managers, sales reps and tech consultants as well as being comfortable in customer-facing meetings where you will often lead conversation and planning

  • Shown ability to be successful in a dynamic and highly demanding environment

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with validated analytical skills and critical thinking

  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills

  • Ability to build and deliver presentations to internal constituencies (sales and marketing) and at senior level

  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills


Experience



  • Solid enterprise marketing experience and a track record of demonstrable and measurable success with strategic, business-to-business (B2B) technology providers

  • 6-8+ years or meaningful marketing experience, preferably specifically with some ABM and field-facing roles, in high-technology companies, ideally in cloud, enterprise software, infrastructure and/or security software space

  • SaaS vendors experience a definite advantage

  • Leading projects with experience in gaining consensus and driving deliverables with individuals inside and outside the organization

  • Ability to authoritatively analyse business issues, strategize and prioritize key actions and work towards resolution against VMware’s requirements


Education and Training



  • Meaningful education and ongoing self-development essential but Bachelor’s degree optional

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required.  Allocadia, Salesforce and Tableau experience also beneficial
