In our Merchant Trading business unit, we are currently looking for a Structured Product Trader to join our Structuring Desk. This role is an attractive opportunity for someone who likes to combine their quantitative expertise with a proactive, commercial approach to the markets and therefore offers a diverse set of activities. The job is to be based on our trade floor at our HQs in Olten, Switzerland and comprises of the following: 


 


Your main responsibilities 



  • Pricing structured products from Origination channels and brokers, using available pricing tools and market inputs

  • Proposing enhancements to existing tools as well as developing prototypes for new ones, in cooperation with the Quant team to ensure Merchant Trading-wide consistency in approach

  • Participating in hedging proposals for new deals

  • Improving data flow and data management at the desk

  • Backing up of colleagues at the desk


 


Your qualifications 



  • University degree in mathematics, physics, or similar 

  • At least 4-6 years of comparable experience in the energy trading

  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in mathematical modelling and solving complex numerical problems 

  • Strong coding skills in Python, VBA

  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset

  • Great collaboration and communication skills

  • Fluent English required, additional European languages a plus
