What you will do


In this challenging and important role you are responsible to manage customer experience by overseeing and tracking all interactions with our strategic accounts during the relationship. This involves building great customer experiences by setting the strategy, integration of technology, orchestrating business models, brand management and C-level commitment.


 


Responsibilities will include



  • Definition, implementation, execution and maintenance of holistic Tecan strategic account management concept to provide all Tecan services to the most relevant clients in the industry

  • Build long-term relationships with strategic accounts based on trust for sustainable and profitable growth considering Tecan’s midterm plan (MTP)

  • Ensure customer retention and widen customer base

  • Develop a prioritized business plan, processes and KPIs including a market map, territorial and individual priorities and ensure regular review of those activities.

  • Build strong internal relationships with Partnering Business teams (Global Sales teams, Customer Solutions Development, Product Management, Portfolio Management and Marketing) and with the relevant Tecan leaders in Life Sciences Business, R&D, Operations and Corporate Development

  • Being engaged in the negotiation of cross-project prices, terms of sales or other contractual guidelines and being involved in executing agreements

  • Lead and take ownership of all escalated topics/complaints related to supply, service and Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs (QARA) in order to manage customer experience

  • Engage and closely align with regional key account sales reps (Global Sales) in activities in the regions


 


What you bring along



  • University degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medicine or Engineering in combination with a MBA or equivalent

  • Experience in B2B environment of minimum 5 years

  • Extensive experience in strategic/key account management (diagnostics, life sciences or similar) including the successful development of global markets and expansion of new business

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leadership in an international environment

  • Excellent English skills is a must, German or any other language would be beneficial

  • Globally and multi-culturally experienced with high customer and partner orientation with excellent negotiation and relationship skills
