The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) is a world-leading institute in global health with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries. The Swiss Centre for International Health (SCIH) of Swiss TPH provides policy advice, project design and management in the area of national and global health with the aim to strengthen health systems and improve health service delivery. 'As part of this work, we develop, implement and evaluate a number of clinical decision support systems (CDSS) projects to strengthen primary care in resource-constrained settings'To work as part of a team with a large portfolio of health systems and interventions projects, we are seeking a:


 


Program coordinator digital health solutions (60-100 %)


 


The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:



  • Coordination of the CDSS technical working group

  • Identification of opportunities to strengthen collaboration and efficiency across CDSS projects within our CDSS portfolio

  • Development of resources to support best practices in CDSS development, deployment and evaluation

  • Guide CDSS strategy and business development activities to strengthen the CDSS portfolio

  • Support internal and external communication related to CDSS


 


Required qualifications and experiences:



  • Minimum of 5 years experience in digital health and / or health systems interventions to strengthen clinical decision-making

  • Strong track record in project management

  • Postgraduate training in public health, health informatics, medicine, epidemiology or other relevant discipline

  • Experience in working in different cultural settings, with respect and diplomacy

  • Excellent spoken and written English, French strongly desired, other languages an asset

  • At least 3 years working in resource-constrained settings


 


The position is based in Basel and might involve travel to project sites (Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Asia etc.).


 


The successful candidate will become part of a multidisciplinary team that is organised in a participatory management structure. The position is open as of 1 September 2021, taking into account the usual period of notice of applicants.
