Job Description


About the role:


We seek a Global VP, Quality Management for our Pharmaceutical Systems (PS) Business Unit. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end Quality Management - from the design and manufacturing to commercialisation - overseeing 7 plants and 3 design centres Worldwide.


You will report directly to the SVP Quality Medical Segment, with a close collaboration with the Worldwide President of Pharmaceutical Systems Business Unit. The VP Quality Management PS is part of the BD Quality Leadership Team and of the Leadership Team for the Worldwide Pharmaceutical Systems Business.


Responsibilities include:



  • Direct and supervise the development and implementation of the strategic Quality Plan for the business.


  • Lead the development, execution and attainment of the Quality & Compliance goals and objectives.


  • Partner with the business, ensuring the Quality Plan adequately supports business priorities, quality management objectives and helps to fulfill the key business objectives for the Business Unit.


  • Promote a strong culture of prevention, compliance, operational excellence and productivity.


  • Navigate a complex, global quality management environment.


  • Promote collaboration to build meaningful cross-functional teamwork with the other functions e.g. R&D, Operations, Regulatory Affairs


  • Maintain close strategic relationships with our Pharmaceutical customers, ensuring that their expectations for quality and compliance are continuously met, maintained, and exceeded.



About You


You will have a proven track record leading complex Quality organisations within a Pharmaceutical or Medical Technology environment. Ideally you will have end-to-end quality experience, from design to commercialisation, at either EMEA or global level.


As well as a strong operational background, you will have strong expertise in the applied interpretation of global regulatory standards including ISO, QSR, GMP, GLP and GCP. FDA and global Pharmaceutical GMP experience is preferred.
