Senior Embedded Software Engineer m/f/d (80 - 100 %)

We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

You play a key part in fulfilling Schindler’s aspiration to build the Next Gen Elevator Control System, a digital ecosystem powering future elevator systems and surrounding cloud-enabled applications. You help us to design, develop and maintain embedded software for elevator control systems as part of an international, globally distributed software engineering team. Main tasks include:

• Specification, design, implementation of embedded software components using state-of-the-art design principles


• Maintenance, extension and re-engineering of existing components


• Investigation of defects reported by testing and rapid problem solving


• Collaboration with team colleagues locally and remotely, e.g. design new functions and perform code reviews.


• Ensure quality of implemented functionality by collaborating with requirement engineering team and testing team as well as implementing automated tests

You are a Self-directed and self-organized, highly responsible and reliable team player with good analytics skills and with an open mind for new
technologies. You are used to collaborate in an international, distributed environment with changing priorities. Further requirements may include:

• Degree in computer science and/or software development


• Sound experience in developing and maintaining embedded controls software solutions


• Proficient in software architecture and design, OO-programming in C++, C, unit testing and scripting


• Good knowledge of software development tools such as Git and JIRA.


• Familiar with agile development using Scrum/Kanban


• Preferrably experienced in real-time systems and embedded Linux
