Role Purpose:


The Media relations intern is accountable for the day to day support of the Syngenta Group Global media relations team.


This includes:



  • Support the Media Relations team on a daily basis with administrative tasks 

  • Help the Media Relations team to get organized to work more efficiently


Accountabilities:



  • Manage the media relations mailboxes on a daily basis and forward media requests as appropriate

  • Update and maintain the global media database

  • Coordinate media relations archive of files (media statements, media requests, press releases…) 

  • Arrange meetings, media interviews and press conferences

  • Manage expenses for the team

  • Manage media subscriptions

 

Qualifications

 

Requirements:



  • Degree in communication / media relations / admin

  • Ideally experience in working for multinationals

  • Ideally work experience with different stakeholder group and clients 

  • Willingness to learn media relations and communication

  • Knowledge of the agriculture / biotechnology markets desirable but not essential 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
