As 140 Million Google Search results show, this is one of the most frequently asked questions in the world.  Weather can have a huge impact on all of our lives, both personally and professionally, so this is why, here at Meteomatics, we focus on the processing and provision of high quality weather data, and software to clients across the world.

But why stop there? Better weather forecasting needs even more accurate data sources. Thus, we developed our own weather drones, called Meteodrones, to collect missing data from the lower atmosphere and we are the first company to fly a network of weather drones operationally.

Team member we're looking for

• Experience in creating engaging UI/UX design


• You live and breathe responsive design


• Curious mind and a problem solver, able to bring innovative solutions to our browser based RESTful API


• Happy and willing to create new applications and features for our weather browser


• Enjoy working in a multi-skilled and international team

Your responsibilities

• Development of our weather forecasting and visualization products (using React, Angular, WebGL)


• Development of engaging, performant and interactive graphics/visualizations and UI/UX


• Processing PetaBytes of data from our API (Caching, Streaming)


• Development and operation of customer web portals, using development tools to write and test code to develop solutions


• Supporting the technical development of our website

Your qualifications

• University degree in computer science or comparable qualification


• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern web frameworks (React, Angular)


• Meteorological experience would be an advantage


• Experience with CDNs, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD favorable


• Scientific or technical background would be an advantage
