The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework ensures that Novartis is conducting business with Third Parties who align to Novartis’ ethical standards and needs to manage reputational, regulatory and financial risks. A robust, proportionate and proactive process to qualify and manage third parties, by which Novartis protects their business and their patients, achieves this outcome. Improving the ability to aggregate risks will improve their resolvability.
Reporting directly to the Head of TPRM, the “Director TPRM Processes” is responsible for re-inventing, newly designing and implementing a complete new TPRM framework. This work drives the evolution towards a more robust but simplified risk management process assuring the Board of Directors, Leadership and Operations that systems are in place to effectively understand and manage risk exposures.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Drive synergies to harmonize risk management outcomes, maximize the value of Novartis’ understanding of Third Party risk exposures at the identification and monitoring stages, and it’s impacts
• Lead and manage activities reinvent the TPRM process and methodology, including cross-functional stakeholder identification and management, work plans definition and final outcomes accountability;
• Lead innovation in third party risk management, understanding trends from other companies, the evolution of regulation, and the opportunities arising from data and digital;
• Develop, drive and implement new initiatives to continuously improve the TPRM operations process with deep dives, special analytics, stakeholder feedbacks
• Generate new reports and oversee that senior management third party risk reports meet the requirements and provide the right level and type of information to define and monitor adherence to risk appetite;
• Ensure senior management is receiving the right balance of detail and quantitative versus qualitative information;
• Support design of external reporting on third party risk management and impact on society;
• Report and manage senior stakeholder for TPRM information sessions, reporting sessions, feedback session like Country Presidents, Country CFOs, ERC LT or ECN member
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Graduate qualification preferably in business or related discipline
• Process consulting expert
• Project Management expert
• Experience in leading design activities
• People responsibility in former jobs (direct and indirect people management)
• Management of stakeholders in a matrix environment
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English; other languages an advantage
