Heads the Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for the overall non-drug project portfolio management, including its financial budget, focusing on the GCS strategic improvements and leads the GCS Innovation Review Board. Partners with Line Functions in order to provide optimal support to enhance GCS end to end supply process and supports GCS Management to define strategic direction and priorities. Drives the process excellence in GCS, leading business process governance for optimal cross-functional process performance through KPI management and enhancement initiatives. Leads a Team of Project Managers within GCS Systems & Operational Excellence. Drives functional excellence. Fosters a culture of empowerment, trust, learning, diversity & inclusion and high performance and has the disciplinary and legal responsibility for the people assigned to own team.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Leads a Team in GCS Systems & Operational Excellence as Operational Manager in a direct leadership role
• Drives process harmonization and performance optimization through KPI management and enhancement projects in accordance with GCS long term strategy
• Supports GCS Management to define strategic direction and priorities
• Leads the Business Process Governance, aligning cross-functional Business Process Managers (BPM), in effort to control and improve GCS processes performance
• Leads the GCS 3-years continuous improvement plan
• Sets up the Program Management Office in GCS, defining, implementing and improving project management structure, tools and standards, defining PMO objectives and strategy in alignment with GCS Core LT long term objectives
• Provides status updated to senior management boards (e.g. GCS Core LT, TRD CI GDD Opex), acting as a GCS program representative
• Drives strategic overview and regular reporting on all programs to senior management in GCS (Leading the Innovation Review Board) and beyond (e.g. GDD OpEx)
Minimum requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
• >8years of practical experience in chemical / pharmaceutical industry or > 4 years of experience in field of expertise
• Recognized expertise in related field
• Thorough knowledge about the Drug Development and Clinical Supply processes
• Comprehensive knowledge about project management, excellent organization and planning skills
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g. GMP, HSE etc.) and Novartis specific standards.
