4! Four time a year the Swiss parliament meets and provides the chance to interact, four times a year Swiss Public and economic Affairs publishes a newsletter. To this end our team needs additional support from a career starter with keen interest in Swiss political and economic affairs within the healthcare sector.
As a member of the Swiss Public and Economic Affairs team, you are part of the company's hub for all political and economic issues that affect Novartis. As a curious and talented communicator you will support the team in its diverse policy and advocacy activities.
• Start date: 01.01.2022 or according to availability
• Hours: part time contract for 16 to 24 working hours per week (flexible hours in coordination with team needs)
• Duration: 9* to 12 months; * minimal
Your responsibilities:
• Monitor and analyze relevant economic and political developments on national and cantonal level
• Drive several smaller projects independently
• Support and draft newsletter articles, compile information for weekly press reviews
• Support analysis on trade and healthcare economic issues
• Compile data in support of answering inquiries and shaping policy within trade organizations and Swiss governmental agencies.
• Research for political and economic position papers, support internal opinion-forming process
• Prepare documents and presentations for internal and external stakeholder engagements
Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:
• Education: Bachelor in political sciences, economics or similar; the internship could be combined with a master or doctoral studies
• Languages: Native German; advanced English and or French
• Self-driven working style; excellent writing skills, able to work independently and with others
• Proficient in data analysis, statistics and economic concepts
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook
• No professional experience required; international perspective, political engagement, and knowledge about healthcare and pharma industry a plus.
