Pharma Global Technical Operations (PT) is the organization that manufactures and delivers Roche’s groundbreaking therapies to 127 million patients around the world. PT is involved in producing every Roche medicine – from the development process through clinical trials – and continuing to product maturity. This position offers a unique and exciting opportunity for a senior executive to enable, coach, lead and inspire people.
You will serve the entire PT organization on its quest to pursue Operational Excellence through radical simplification and pioneering for excellence. You will be accountable for defining and delivering a global roadmap for digital and analytics including, but not limited to, establishing scalable solutions. You will also be responsible for continuous improvement across PT’s systems, operations & processes. You will drive LEAN and Digital Data/Analytics capabilities in support of the sites’ development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Own the Digital Center of Excellence (CoE), develop and drive implementation of the global roadmap for PT digital & analytics strategy aiming for the standardization and optimization across the entire network
Provide leadership to accelerate Digital transformation realization to enable the PT answer to the Pharma Vision, including related integrated efforts across PT organization
Orchestrate Digital Lighthouses and host agile coaches and experts for this purpose
Drive convergence between Digital & IT/OT organizations (IT/OT reporting dotted line to you)
Own & drive Lean Production systems (LPS) maturity across PT organization with clear outcomes around process robustness, more efficient operations & Lean Leadership
Drive LEAN and Digital Data & Analytics capabilities in support of site development. Act, with your team, as a catalyst for digital initiatives and act as Master Coach(es) for PT leaders
Active & standing member on the Pharma Technical Operations Leadership team. Advocate and collaborate for the entire PT organization
Budgeting and Financial Performance: Accountable for overall budget and financial performance of own organization
Organization and Resources: Directly responsible for organizational design and implementation of Lean & Digital activities, to include staffing, talent management, budgeting and resource allocation
Accountable for demonstrating as a role model and realizing Roche’s core values, Pharma Operating principles, VACC (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst) & Lean leadership

Minimum 10 years of strong operational experience - you can walk the shop floor and engage in insightful sparring.
Proven track record in LEAN implementation & digital transformation
Strategic agility and solid Business Acumen.
Strong communication skills
Ability to build teams and communities across cultures, countries, technical competencies, and organizational levels
Ability to deal with concepts, ambiguity, and complexity skillfully and comfortably
