In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by having the ability to lead effectively and work concurrently across multiple projects in a goal-oriented, timeline-driven, and dynamic work environment, while ensuring quality and accuracy. A typical day will include:


OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE



  • Support in monthly closing, reporting and compliance activities for Manufacturing for the legal entity TPIZ (Takeda Pharmaceutical International Zurich)

  • Responsible for the Overall “Business Excellence” Strategic priority incl. reporting structure, master data, optimizing and standardizing of processes

  • Business partner for Manufacturing & Supply Finance Operating units regarding financials, for Supply Chain regarding Network flows and for TBS (Shared business solutions center) regarding master data

  • Contribute to regional projects – e.g. Support the integration of activities into the TPIZ legal entity.


ACCOUNTABILITIES


Main Tasks:



  • Support in monthly closing, reporting and compliance activities for the legal entity:

  • ME close: Execute transactions related to principal/toller set-up, Inventory monitoring and controlling, BS reviews, quarterly Inventory reserve in coordination with TBS (Shared business solutions center)

  • Ensure correct reporting structure (incl. Legal/Management views)

  • Ensure adherence to policies

  • Ensures all inventory processes are properly done and executed on-time (e.g. inventory reserves)

  • Ensures all relevant SOX controls are properly done and on time

  • Business Partnering on monthly financials with Global Manufacturing & Supply operating units

  • Responsible for Business Excellence activities:



  • Correct master data management, incl. correct set-up of SKU’s/cost - centers/inventory mapping

  • Optimizing and standardizing processes as needed, incl. automations

  •  Ensuring adequate process documentation for all activities



  • Business Partner for Supply Chain and TBS (Shared business solutions center) regarding Implementation of new supply chain flows, incl. flows related to implementation of legal entity:

    • Review flows and align with Global Manufacturing operating units as needed

    • Provide feedback and endorsement to Supply Chain on behalf of GMS Finance

    • Ensure correct master data management




  • Contribute to Projects – e.g. Actively Support integration of activities into TPIZ legal entity:

  • Review tasks and define tasks to be integrated + transition remaining tasks as needed to TBS (shared business solutions center).

  • Ensure correct set-up in line with existing structure

  • Review new SAP flows as needed, manage and control master data settings


Other Tasks:



  • Monthly management report (8 pages) and quarterly report for executive committee – until activity transferred.

  • Ad hoc, involved in testing new SAP functions including documentation

  • Ad hoc Contribute to regional projects as needed

  • Support obsolescence process as needed.


DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS


Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise



  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of internal controls and financial reporting under IFRS and US-GAAP (SOX).

  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain through all process steps from raw material to finished goods.


Leadership



  • Position will need to work closely and guide/collaborate with various GMS stakeholders / business – and finance partners – at various seniority levels

  • Able to deal with ambiguity and possess a strong flexible mind-set


Decision-making and Autonomy



  • Position will be expected to work independently within area of responsibility

  • Position will be expected to recommend execution of new supply chain flows and ERP set-up.

  • Position will be expected to recommend process improvements  


Interaction



  • Interacts with many varied stakeholders, including  TBS, Pricing CoE, GMS Finance OPUs, Senior GMS management, TPIZ Statutory Finance Team, Tax and Transfer Pricing Team, Supply Chain Coordination team


Innovation



  • Position will require the ability to question the status quo and to come up with more efficient and effective ways to execute the related financial processes.

  • Position expected to have a strong continuous improvement mind-set

  • Potential to support the GMS Finance Transformation process and overarching projects.


Complexity



  • Complex manufacturing and business – Different models and set-ups; Internal/External Manufacturing

  • Complex SAP system

  • Master data matrix  


EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:



  • Master Degree in BA, Accounting or Finance and 5 or more years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of principal entity set-up is a preferred

  • Experience influencing Global business partners

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills (need intellectual “curiosity”)

  • Knowledge of Sox controls and GAAP accounting principles, especially manufacturing accounting

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with ERP Systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle), and Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM) is a strong
