About the department
Biopharm Operations, based in Zürich, Switzerland, is the global head office of the rare disease arm of the company (Biopharm), driving change for patients in rare blood and rare endocrine disorders. With sales of over 2.5 billion USD, Biopharm is a key part of Novo Nordisk and its corporate strategy.
The position
The position is anchored in the Rare Blood Disorders (RBD) team and reporting to the Sr Brand Director Early Assets RBD. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure launch readiness for two internal assets currently approaching Phase 2. In addition to this, you will be leading the commercial research and market understanding that will define and shape the Novo Nordisk Vision and Commercial Strategy for RBDs. The work supports the long-term growth of the RBD franchise through accelerating its early pipeline in close collaboration with R&D, Medical and Science, and Business development.
The position will be responsible for the pre-launch readiness of a launch product including naming and brand strategy, alignment with the Haemophilia portfolio and close collaboration with the in-market brand team. In addition, building market awareness and understanding of the patient journey in Sickle Cell Disease to support the transition of one of the assets into phase 2 and phase 3. As the portfolio grows within RBD, this position will be working in close collaboration with new product planning as well as supporting the commercial due diligence efforts for external business development opportunities with aspirational TPPs. Integration of the Diagnostic, Device and Digital (3D) strategy across all TPPs is a must.
The focus of the position is both internal (e.g. new product planning commercial support) and external (e.g. KOLs engagements). The director is also expected to have a broad understanding of rare drug environments. He/she is expected to be able to articulate commercial needs into R&D requirements and to be comfortable in engaging with experts and KOLs to gauge current and future insights.
This is a limited position for 12 months.
