About our company
Lunaphore Technologies is a young scale-up active in the Life Sciences field developing
products based on a microfluidic technology to analyze tissue samples in immuno-oncology
research. Lunaphore is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team and contribute
directly to the development and growth of the company.
Job overview
We are looking for an ‘Application Development Scientist’ to test, develop, and optimize
new reagents for spatial proteomic or transcriptomic applications on tissue samples using
Lunaphore’s microfluidic platforms.
Responsibilities and duties



  • Identify the reagents to be integrated in the product range

  • Test, develop, and optimize new reagents for spatial proteomics and/or transcriptomic
    assays on tissue samples using Lunaphore’s microfluidic platforms

  • Explore and understand the background knowledge of the current reagents and
    potential candidates

  • Assess the chemical compatibility of the potential reagents with the instrument
    components and between reagents

  • Acquire fluorescent images, process them, and extract relevant data

  • Interact with the QA/RA and manufacturing departments: communicate clearly with
    other departments about reagent development to anticipate needs in term of
    commercial agreements, supply, volumes, storage etc…

  • Write related documentation for newly developed reagents

Required qualifications



  • BSc/MSc in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar

  • At least 2 years of experience in an industrial environment in the field of bioreagents
    development

  • Previous hands-on experience with immunostaining and in situ techniques is a strong
    plus

  • Fluency in oral and written English

  • Experience in reagent development, buffer composition, and chemical compatibility is
    a strong plus

  • Experience in fluorescent microscopy and microfluidic devices is a strong plus

  • Background in immunology or oncology is a plus

  • Knowledge in immunoassay and analysis of histological samples is a plus

  • Good knowledge in image processing and data analysis is a plus


Required soft skills



  • You can collaborate with others by working in a team, share information with peers and
    managers.

  • You demonstrate critical thinking, good organizational skills, and attention to details.

  • You are interested in interdepartmental collaborations and in the stakes of reagent
    development.

  • You are comfortable in troubleshooting and directly interacting with microfluidic
    devices.

  • Fluency in oral and written English is a must.
