Markem-Imaje is looking for a Global Supplier Development Manager with experience in an international high-tech company.


In this role you will contribute to Markem-Imaje Profitability, Innovation and Growth through the Leadership of the Global Supplier Development Organisation and the Strategic Supply Base.


You will align with Global Sourcing, Engineering Product Divisions, Supply Chain and Global Quality leadership - agree the Strategic Direction for Global Supplier Development teams to support business objectives and ensure Markem-Imaje supply base can satisfy key deliverables.


 


What you will do:



  • Ensure the Global Teams are resourced, technically trained and capable to drive Markem-Imaje suppliers to meet critical KPI's and Development Plans for Performance in terms of: Quality (PPM), Delivery (OTD/OTIF/ITO), Costs (total cost per part, scrap reduction, warranty cost, COPQ recovery), Safety and Compliance

  • Lead the teams and key suppliers to development plans which deliver best value to Markem-Imaje from suppliers: productivity, flexibility, capacity, capability and delivery. Facilitating kaizen events - Driving Lean improvements with suppliers, VSM's and VAVE projects

  • Close liaison with Global Engineering Product Divisions to ensure SD teams can fully support business needs for new product introductions. Improving the planning and processes to ensure launch KPI's are met and Supply base readiness

  • Support business continuity (through use of Root Cause Countermeasure tools related to supplier quality/delivery issues resolution and CAPA management related to suppliers)

  • Develop talents and lead the international team to achieve targets and increase impact and influence of the SD function within Markem-Imaje

  • Support and execute Supply base risk Management (yearly plan and risk mitigation)


 


Main activities:



  • Commodity strategy: drive best practice for supplier performance metrics, support sourcing strategy implementation

  • Annual plan / Financial Improvement: identification of cost down opportunity within the supply base through lean improvement, design optimisation and quality manufacturing

  • Supplier Selection & Management - Business Reviews and supplier performance improvement

  • Part /Supplier qualification (Use of APQP tools)

  • Business Reviews and supplier performance improvement

  • NPI(New Product Introduction): assess current and required capability and develop a Supplier Development roadmap to meet new technology, cost and quality targets for the Product

  • Sourcing process: Ensure compliance to Sourcing / SD processes including managing expectations and deliverables from Suppliers - including but not limited to: Ethical standards, compliance to international and local regulations, Trade Compliance, Environmental and Safety Standards


 


What you need to have:



  • 10 - 15 years in a Supplier Management, Quality or similar position in an international high-tech company

  • Degree Educated with Specialism in either Sourcing or Engineering (Bac +5). General technical background is helpful

  • Formal Training in and Facilitation experience leading Lean Improvement Kaizens, Daily Management and Cost Down Methodologies

  • Formal Training and experience using Automotive APQP system and Problem-Solving Tools

  • Strong global leadership and experience in people management

  • Project Management experience

  • International Business experience

  • Supplier Negotiation training and experience
