Senior Sponsor Leveraged Finance Specialist for Corporate Banking

Your field of responsibility

 

As a Senior Sponsor Leveraged Finance Specialist, you will take the lead in the origination, structuring and execution of cash-flow based financing solutions (including traditional bank, stretch senior and unitranche facilities) for mainly mid-market Private Equity backed companies in the DACH region. You will have sponsor coverage responsibilities with significant client interaction. You will act as a deal team leader for the structuring, credit approval process, term sheet negotiation and the successful execution (including documentation and syndication) as well as monitoring of the transactions.

You will be part of the Sponsor Group & Fund Financing team within the Corporate Finance and Private Debt business unit. You will work with an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated team of leveraged finance and structured finance specialists. You will closely collaborate with various internal stakeholders such as Structured Finance, Transaction Team, Investment Banking, Corporate relationship management, Credit risk management, Syndication and Legal. Your skills and experience

 

  • Higher education degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, or any related field combined with at least 7+ years’ experience in a similar role (bank, direct lending fund, debt advisory firm) with a focus on cash-flow based financings

  • Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills combined with a sound credit risk assessment

  • Effective negotiation skills, proven assertiveness and decision making capabilities

  • Extensive Sponsor coverage experience

  • Dedicated problem solver with a positive personality and can-do attitude, focused towards achieving results individually and in teamwork 

  • Clear, effective oral and written communication skills as well as positive and self-motivated person

  • Ability to work cooperatively with various internal partners, at all levels of seniority

  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory

  • Very good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
