The Department of Banking and Finance (DBF) at the University of Zurich has a broad exper-tise in its four core areas of Banking, Corporate Finance, Financial Economics and Quantita-tive Finance.

The Chair in Corporate Finance delivers teaching in the area of corporate finance and re-search across a broad spectrum of topics. A current research theme in the Chair relates to the role of money and liquidity in the financial system. Research that Team members cur-rently are engaged in include: the effect of central bank policies on financial markets, the financial system, and the broader economy; the role of monetary conditions on the cost of capital; corporate cash holdings; valuation in practice; repo markets.

Your responsibilities

Work duties include research and teaching assistance and, in general, aiding in the various duties and responsibilities of the Chair.

Your profile

Candidates with a master degree in finance / banking, economics, econometrics or related fields, or in the final phase of completion, with very good to excellent grades, may apply. The position offers an opportunity to carry out own research and pursue doctoral studies at University of Zurich at the Department of Banking and Finance while providing research and teaching assistance (Track A of the Doctoral Program in Finance).

Successful candidates are good team players but also able to work individually, conscien-tious, happy to interact with students, have a keen interest in conducting high-quality re-search in finance, broadly defined, and enjoy advancing and sharing the state of knowledge in the field. Solid quantitative, writing, and communication skills are an advantage.

Advanced German and English language skills are required.
