We Elevate... Your Responsibilities


Schindler is committed to deliver smart urban mobility to shape global urbanization while continuing to improve our environmental and social performance. In this role you support the Global Technology Department (CTO) in delivering environmentally sustainable and energy efficient product and services. Main tasks include:


 



  • Develop the definition of sustainability strategies, organization models and transformation

  • Develop, introduce, and validate methods and tools for automation of EMS and ECO design processes

  • Support team to ensure that the environmental management system meets applicable standards and is certified across all locations under the CTO department (ISO14001)

  • Plan and execute internal audit, drive workshops and exercises

  • Create proposals and project plans for new programs

  • Support sales department on building certification and providing design advise

  • Providing strategic low-energy design advice trough understanding of engineering in relation to reuse, remanufacturing, recycling and the effects of carbon emissions

You are a self-motivated, driven individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You are able to work independently as well lead cross-functional teams domestically and globally. With your highly effective communication skills you can present to a wide range of partners across different teams and levels of the organization. Further requirements may include:


 



  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering or sustainability/ environmental subject, otherwise comparable degree or evidence of exceptional experience in related fields

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in sustainability or corporate social responsibility

  • Expertise with life cycle assessment methods

  • Strong technical engineering knowledge, as well as product design and assessment skills

  • Familiarity with environmental indicators and impacts, particularly with respect to carbon, water, energy, and resources

  • Knowledge of management system industry standards including ISO 9001 and ISO1400 is beneficial

  • Fluent language skills in English
