The mission of the People & Culture Team is to provide a dynamic and safe work environment to SonarSourcers where they can feel energized and can be highly engaged. We strive to make the journey of every SonarSourcer worthy and rewarding!

Today the P&C Team is made of 7 people distributed across our different locations with 3 distinct sub-groups, working side by side:

  • People: 4 People & Culture Gardeners for care, support and growth

  • Hiring: 2 Hiring Experts dedicated to recruiting for the company

  • Culture: 1 Culture Enabler

We want to continue to invest in our culture, in making it explicit, improving it and living it. And we know we need to acquire new skills to join the Culture pool to achieve the big goal of this year: making our culture a product that we can share and convey. For example, our dream for this year is to create a culture handbook.

As a Culture Communication Specialist, you will

  • Use all your energy to fully dive into our culture, embrace its values, principles and practices

  • Drive the process of creating the first employee handbook, by going through the following phases:
Investigation: looking for the right information by observing the workplace environment, its processes, listening and speaking to SonarSourcers
Composition: defining what's to be part of the handbook, what should be prioritized so as to serve our purpose
Launch: publishing it and updating it over time
Advocacy: promoting the handbook whenever suitable and relevant, with the support of the Culture team

  • Be a culture ambassador at all times

  • Be a key thinking and delivery partner in the Culture team, supported by the Culture Enabler strengths and drivers

The skills you will demonstrate

  • Proven experience in internal communication and/or corporate culture department. Could be in a communication agency or in a similar in-house position. Ideally having previously carried out a similar project from scratch

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Capacity to connect culture-related concepts and human behaviors

  • Very structured, detail-oriented and proactive/self-driven

  • Listening skills and high empathy

  • Awareness to diversity and multicultural environment

  • Background in and passion for the engineering world - and knowing SonarSource culture is a strong plus obviously :)

What we do

SonarSource was started by a team of developers that wanted to change the way code is built in an agile development process. The company was created to develop the open-source tool SonarQube, which is now the standard in code quality management with over 190,000 instances deployed today. Every day we are focused on solving developers’ next big problem.

If there’s one main message we want you to remember about us, it’s that we push others to be best in class at whatever they do: choose your battle, innovate, take risks, and lead change.
