Job Description Summary

Join our team and support, provide guidance and advice to RGT employees to adopt necessary skills and experience to perform manufacturing engineering tasks. This role has the responsibility to deliver in accordance to the Support Service Agreement and Technical License Agreement between GE and RGT, and in accordance to a defined annual budget. The role reports directly to the Regional Localization Leader of the GT Localization Program for the duration the projects defined between GE and RGT.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities for this role are to advise and guide the corresponding functions in the Joint Venture of GE and Inter RAO (IR), Russian Gas Turbines (RGT), on matters of manufacturing engineering. The responsibilities may include:

• Consult on all engineering associated with the manufacturing process




• Support to organize projects related to new premises, factory buildings, rehabilitation, new equipment, lay-out, renovations and optimization




• Define and control production process including tooling and equipment




• Validate design specifications and shop floor application of tools




• Support, advise and coach during manufacturing and assembly




• Advise on both quality assurance and quality control which includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes




• Ensure conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.




• Develop the skills and organization of the manufacturing teams




• Provide advice on maintaining equipment reliability, process rigor, and programming as needed.




• Support projects, continuous improvement efforts and applying LEAN principles in accordance with key performance indicators (KPIs).




•  Mentor others and communicate across function in area of expertise

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or related field of equivalent knowledge or experience.




• Strong experience in Engineering, Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain.




• English language fluency




• Ability to travel up to 50%, for several weeks

Desired Characteristics:

• Master’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or related field or equivalent knowledge or experience




• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the 3 focus areas (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain)




• Ability to coach, advise and guide others




• Experience in gas turbine production and assembly technologies and processes




• Experience in industrial planning and manufacturing building projects




• Knowledge in supply chain management and quality management incl. quality control and assurance.




• Excellent collaboration and project management skills




• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, Russian language skills are an advantage.




• Strong process skills




• Ability to work through complex problems and quickly identify solutions within given time constraints.
