Job Description

This Postdoctoral role will support our technology platform in Technical Research and Development to establish a robust and scalable manufacturing process for polyester coating of drug crystals.



Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



• Establish a platform for uniform polyester coating of drug crystals in laboratory scale taking into consideration the physicochemical properties of the drug substance and the polyester as well of suitable surfactants

• Develop a suitable and scalable manufacturing process

• Characterize generated coated drug crystals with state of the art technologies

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:



• A PhD degree in pharmacy, applied physics, chemical engineering, food technology, mechanical engineering or a similar discipline with excellent laboratory skills (preferable coating technologies)

• A strong theoretical background in fluid dynamics and transport phenomena, preferably complemented with a good understanding of thermodynamics and soft matter physics

• Hands on experience in manufacturing, process development and characterization of polyester microparticles

• A curious mind-set, self-driven, not afraid to take initiative, and good communication skills

• Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of statistical design of experiments and modelling expertise is of advantage

• A high English proficiency in speaking, writing and reading.

• Highly motivated independent worker, keen on working in an interdisciplinary team

Duration: 12 months
