Who are we looking for
As a Backend Engineer your job is to build the software that allows our customers to request and manufacture parts.However, we won’t lie to you: Orderfox has seen a lot of change and we still havesome legacy to deal with. However, we’d love to fix that, which is why we need your help. Feel free to ask about it in your interview! If you’re interested in having an impact and applying the best of technologies to our marketplace, we’d love to have you. As part of an international team, you are fluent in English, German is an asset. You will be working from our offices in Zürich - and from the home-office if the pandemic situation forces us to.
As part of this you will
Design and implement APIs according to the product roadmap
Improve and maintain existing codebase (Node.js) with focus on reliability and scalability
Streamline automated code deployments with CI tools and frameworks, in order to make the development environment as user-friendly as possible
Coordinate release cycles
Administer MongoDB and ElasticSearch hosted with Cloud providers.
Manage and optimize our infrastructure AWS
About You
5+ years of experience building software
You are passionate about code quality, automation and development best practices
You are an independent learner and love to get things done
You are proficient in English as we speak mainly English at work
You are eligible to work in Switzerland.

Some bonus points that will make it more likely you’ll rock this job, like experience with any of the following (the more the better):
Javascript / Node.js (even better: Express.js)
React or Angular
MongoDB / Elasticsearch
Cloud based infrastructure (even better: serverless)
