More than 50 ! That’s the number of Accelerated stability studies which have been conducted over the last years in ARD (Analytical Research and development).



The use of predicted stability studies during pharmaceutical development and in regulatory submissions is increasing and allows prediction of the degradation and shelf life under long-term storage conditions.

The comparison of the predicted data vs. real time date is essential for our organization and will help us to submit IND /IMPDs using accelerated stability data and we are looking for a highly motivated internship to support and expand the development of analytical expertise across the organization. Also digital data framework will be part of the study by automating the comparison real time vs prediction.

Duration of employment:6 months

Minimum requirements

We are looking for a highly motivated recent BSc/ MSc to support our analytical teams across the organization. Your responsibilities will vary throughout the program stages and includes:

• Evaluate analytical data to support stability prediction (degradation and shelf life) as well as implement processes improvement

• Support analytical development data on innovative projects.

• Design, plan, perform, interpret, report and communicate results of analytical stability studies.

• Recommend a proposed plan to the team on simplification of accelerated studies.

• Support the digitalization/automation of data.

• Participate in scientific exchange groups within Novartis and presentation their work/research.



What you’ll bring to the role:

• Scientific background

• Preferentially, a completed Bachelor / Master in analytical chemistry or related discipline

• Good analytical, chemical knowledge required

• Good knowledge of relevant analytical software (e.g. chromatography software) is required.

• Ready to work in international and multidisciplinary teams

• Open minded personality and “can do” attitude

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required

• Fluency in English
