The successful candidate will work as part of the Investment Advisory team in Zurich. The main purpose of the role is to connect the Global Products & Services offering with the Wealth Management business and help clients and prospects to get the most suitable products & services offered.
Key accountabilities
• Responsible for limited number of dedicated advisory mandates >5 mln. CHF
• Intensive knowledge of the product range of GPS
• Client acquisition and retention (with Relationship Manager)
Client partner: The Investment Advisor will be ‘Investment Specialist’ at the kitchen table for our wealthy clients and their families, delivering the full Discretionary and Advisory offering, partnering with the Relationship Managers, and being innovative and tenacious in meeting client needs
• Lead for investment proposals & portfolio reviews for “bespoke” clients in discretionary & advisory
• Lead for delivering recommendation & executing client requests for “bespoke” advisory portfolios
• Provides the direction to discretionary portfolio managers on client needs & instructions for bespoke discretionary solutions. (PMs then manage the discretionary portfolios in line with CIO/IM value chain)
CIO / Group Product & Services partner: the voice of our CIO investment views and product recommendations to clients & RMs in their region
• Provide an active feedback loop to colleagues in CIO GPS on offering development, CIO investment views, and product recommendations
• Create conviction with clients & RMs on CIO / GPS investment views & products
• Communications: raise the bar in quality of local delivery in all respects (investment proposals, portfolio reviews, holistic wealth reviews, etc)
Client solutions partner: ensure we drive a holistic approach to client relationships
• Support our Private Bankers, and partner with Lending and Planning in driving growth.
• Proven and relevant Investment advisory experience supported by a university degree or equivalent by experience (minimum 5 years relevant job experience)
• Relevant financial market, asset class and instrument knowledge, including Alternative Investments
• Proven experience in advising HNWI or UHNWI clients with complex wealth structures and comprehensive requirements
• Good understanding of the financial sector, it’s processes, products and regulations
• Effective communication skills
• Highly organized and results oriented
• Ability to adequately navigate in an international environment, dealing with different cultures and background
• Ability to act as strategic and trusted adviser
• Stress resistant and open minded
• Team player, supportive, with the ability to deal in a transparent and collegiate manner

Bloomberg: advanced/expert knowledge
English & German (fluent / advanced)
Fluency and/or working knowledge of French and/or Spanish would be an advantage, other languages welcome.
