Summary 


The Senior Manager EU Inventory, Logistics and Distribution is responsible forEuropean logistics and distribution network including remote external warehouses and is also accountable to ensure effective supplier selection/management, risk mitigation, cost effective operation, contract negotiations (SME) and compliance to corporate policies. The incumbent is also in charge of hosting the bi-annual CMO review process. The job requires working closely with multiple internal and external partners to facilitate and optimize the operational activities with a keen focus on customer service for the entire organization. 


Duties and Responsibilities  



  • Managesdistribution operations in Europe, including Customer Services, transportation, storage and returns.


  • Maintain the serialization database


  • Assures and measures the quality performance of the 3PL network (Third Party Logistic provider) and leads performance investigations, finds root causes, and implements process changes to avoid re-occurrence.


  • Develop and maintains business KPI’s and proposes continuous improvements.


  • Manage the EU storage location for Raw mat , Intermediates and API’s


  • Responsible for supply chain risk assessments and shipping validation


  • Is familiar with Good Distribution Practices guidelines, the regulated pharmaceutical environment and best industry practices


  • Provides analytical support for projects and support initiatives related to organizational/structural improvements


  • Contribute positively to a strong culture of business integrity and ethics


  • Act within compliance and legal requirements as well as within company guidelines


  • Continually evaluate services offered by existing and prospective vendors



Requirements  



  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry closely related to Logistics and Distribution


  • Fluency in English both written and spoken is a prerequisite, French and German are a plus


  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related discipline.


  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


  • Strong analytical, organizational and execution skills


  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential


  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft applications


  • Desired knowledge of basic supply chain planning principles


  • Knowledge of Lean philosophy is a plus
