Calibration Technician

Job Description



  • As a Calibration Technician Instrumentation and Controls you supports all the calibration activities (temperature, pressure, conductivity, flow, pH, UV, agitator, level strapping …) and corrective actions in calibration linked to the manufacturing site.

  • You are familiar with LOTO application from a safety perspective.

  • You review Calibration Work Orders and you are able to describe complex processes and qualifications and to translate it into clear, precise reports. 

  • You track calibration systems through the DeltaV / AMS control systems.

  • You investigate instruments failures / out of tolerance (Remedial Action Reporting) and serves as a system expert for troubleshooting instruments and repairs. In addition you respond to adverse conditions and implement corrective actions to restore and improve instruments.

  • You are an important part of the larger calibration department and are a good collaborator to work in activities and projects across departments (quality, engineering, manufacturing). You provide commissioning, validation and engineering support.    


Qualifications



  • You have a technical education

  • You bring a solid experience in Calibration, Instrumentation and Controls and/or Metrology in a manufacturing environment. 

  • You have a first experience in a highly regulated environment preferably in biotech-or pharmaceutical industry.

  • You have preferably experience with Delta V/ AMS or a similar system.

  • Fluency in English is a requirement 


Additional Information


As a Calibration Technician you are in charge of keeping the instrument and Controls up and running, staying compliant and using state of the art technology. You are responsible for supporting all the calibration activities for the Luterbach manufacturing site. The purpose of this role is to provide high level of technical expertise needed to support daily calibration activities, operations team and equipment related issues during manufacturing campaigns, in full compliance with Safety, Quality, and Compliance. The campus of Luterbach consists of a Central Utilities Building, Warehouse, manufacturing building BMC’s (bio-manufacturing cell), and related supporting buildings and equipment’s.


You will report to the Lead Instrumentation and Controls and the Calibration department exists of 20 people.


This position requires you to work in a 2-shift model from Monday to Friday. One week you will have the early shift from 6AM until 3PM and the other week you will work from 3PM until 11PM.
