The Law, Economics, and Business research group, headed by Professor Dr. Alexander Stremitzer at ETH Zurich is searching for Research Assistants.
We are looking forhighly motivated students who are interested in working as research assistants for a “Law & Tech Class” and/or a “Fairness and Algorithms Class” to be taught in Fall 2021 and for which we need background research during summer 2021. Salaries are competitive, paid according to ETH standards.
The teaching assistants will support the instructors in preparing teaching materials and performing research for the class both before the fall semester begins and during the course of the fall semester. Topics for which research will be requested will range from fairness in AI to tort liability to autonomous vehicles to emerging legal regulatory frameworks for smart contracts.
We are looking for advanced students (preferably at Master or Doctoral level) with an interest to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary and international team of legal researchers. A successful candidate will have excellent grades and preferably some prior experience in research support. Proficiency in multiple languages would be helpful.
We particularly value candidates who are used to and comfortable addressing cutting-edge research questions where they must be creative and dogged in searching for relevant source materials.
