At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world's largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter - fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Find out more on home.cern.
Diversity has been an integral part of CERN's mission since its foundation and is an established value of the Organization.
CERN's Product Lifecycle Management systems (PLM) manages Computer-Aided Design (CAD) data and technical documentation for the entire Organization. We are now in a challenging project to replace the existing landscape of silo applications by a single modern PLM platform. This integrated set of tools contains information about millions of equipment components. In total, over 5000 users depend on the software provided by the group.
You will be working in a dynamic agile team and will be given the opportunity to specify, design and deliver functionalities that integrate and extend the use of the future PLM platform.
Typical application areas in which you will work include: CAD Data Management, 3D model visualization, Engineering Document Management, integration with other information systems and quality of legacy data.
