Join us as a Junior Portfolio Manager for Liquid Alternatives within our business area Investment Solutions & Products (IS&P) in our growing Sustainability, Research & Investment Solutions (SRI) division located in Zurich. This role is an exciting opportunity for you to become a specialist in working with liquid alternative investment portfolios (hedge funds and alternative risk premia) and to build yourself a strong network within Credit Suisse. You perform a variety of tasks in the areas of portfolio management, trading/execution of market orders, risk management and research. You have the opportunity to gain an in-depth insight into portfolio construction, risk and portfolio management and the due diligence process of hedge funds and alternative risk premia strategies. You will actively support a Senior Portfolio Manager and contribute to the implementation of our investment decisions in client portfolios and our products. You have the opportunity to grow within our organization and to foster knowhow on various topics related to liquid alternative investments.

Your skills and experience

 

You’ll be a good match, if you have:



  • A university degree (banking and finance) or an equivalent education (e.g. CFA or similar preferred)

  • You are familiar with key terms of the hedge fund industry and have a basic understanding of hedge funds and alternative risk premia strategies

  • You previously gathered experiences in portfolio management and have a well-rounded understanding of modern portfolio and risk management theory as well as knowledge of the main liquid financial instruments

  • As a dedicated and trustworthy team-player you show a motivated and flexible can-do attitude and use your excellent organizational skills in order to work in a very precise and efficient way

  • Strong client and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate efficiently at all levels

  • Ability to cope with pressure and a high level of flexibility, responsibility and attention to detail

  • Diligent work approach with respect for our risk and control obligations

  • Fluency in English is a must, French, German or any other languages are a plus
