Head of Media Monitoring

Your field of responsibility

 

As Head of Media Monitoring you will lead a small team of media monitoring experts who are in charge of managing the daily news flow. You will be responsible for the online and print media monitoring process, including the tool-based daily internal reporting and publishing, and for providing the key media monitoring services of external sources such as editing and producing of the daily news briefings for internal partners. The drafting and reviewing of daily reports for the senior management are further tasks. In addition, you will compile tailor-made products for special monitoring needs (e.g. for the Quarterly Results, the Investor Day and the Annual General Meeting) and provide insights for the media sentiment analysis. You will be responsible for developing new media monitoring services and products and manage our external media monitoring agency and strategy.

Your skills and experience

 

We are looking for someone with/who:


 



  • A university degree or equivalent education

  • Five years’ experience in corporate communications or journalism in a related position, ideally with a focus on media monitoring

  • Passion for news and the financial industry

  • Familiarity with the media landscape in Switzerland and globally, including newswires and key third party service providers such as media monitoring agencies

  • Proactive and collaborative personality with leadership experience

  • Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Mandatory proficiency in German and English, French and Italian are an advantage

  • People management experience would be an advantage

  • Understands the value of diversity in the workplace and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture in all aspects of working life so that people from all backgrounds receive equal treatment, realize their full potential and can bring their full, authentic selves to work
