Then the Citrix Competitive Intelligence Team would be an excellent way to apply your industry knowledge as well as technical and marketing acumen, to help Citrix compete better.


Position Overview


We’re currently looking for a Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager, with focus on virtual apps and desktops, to join our team.


In this position, you will be responsible for tracking, monitoring and analyzing markets, technology trends and competitors, in order to discover opportunities, threats and implications for Citrix and our product / service portfolio. Equipped with these valuable insights, you will be asked to develop product collateral to enable the Citrix field teams and external partners to optimally position our products and services in competitive environments as well as make recommendations to the senior leadership influencing business and product strategy.


Primary Duties/ Responsibilities



  • Own and drive research, track, monitor and report on industry, technology and competitive landscape trends for assigned areas

  • Responsible for creating or maintaining competitor profiles, analysis, reports, presentations, battlecards, etc.

  • Responsible for creating, maintaining and delivering CI collateral to enable customer facing sales and technical personnel as well as internal marketing and engineering teams

  • Ability to work within a globally distributed virtual team

  • Ability to be a self-starter, set priorities and collaborate with different elements of a business organization

  • Deep analytical and strategic thinking abilities, along with the ability to see the big picture from scattered pieces of information. Able to collect and synthesize sophisticated information, making it relevant, understandable and actionable for key stakeholders.

  • In-depth knowledge of the app and desktop virtualization market as well as related technologies, architectures and platforms.

  • Have a technical understanding of the Citrix product portfolio and effectively communicate those capabilities to a large audience with varying levels of product functionality.

  • Experienced presenter who is a good storyteller and capable of tweaking presentations in real-time based on audience needs.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Capable of authoring industry and product related blogs, white papers, and presentations.

  • Have proficient time management skills and the ability to multi-task across multiple assignments.

  • Demonstrate the ability to optimally network across multiple functional areas in an organization.

  • Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned projects and tasks to appropriate stakeholders.

  • Has strong interpersonal skills, ability to give and receive constructive feedback, ability to interact and partner with people at all levels and locations


Basic Requirements



  • 10+ years of experience in IT, preferably related to (digital) workspaces

  • In-depth knowledge of the app and desktop virtualization market as well as related technologies, architectures and platforms.

  • This position requires occasional international travel


Preferred Qualifications



  • Master in Computer Science is preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to operate autonomously with limited supervision.

  • Experience working in fast-paced environments.

  • Ability to influence.
