Strategic Sourcing Lead MDR 100% (m/f) TEMP

Job Summary

In this multifaceted position (Project one Year or longer) you will be responsible for the management of timelines, supporting the implementation of EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) to assure compliance with its requirements.

Your main responsibilities:

• Analysis of current contractual situation for all in scope suppliers and materials


• Provide Sourcing and Quality expertise to support Suppliers with MDR activities


• Assist in defining Suppliers Compliance to EU MDR specifications


• Assist in reviewing supplier testing plans to meet EU MDR requirements


• Create documents in preparation for updating or creating procedures by Sourcing and Quality Management to meet corporate MDR requirements


• Coach and train suppliers in Zimmer policies and procedures related to EU MDR, including Supplier Communications, Training, and Change Control


• Define and support supplier transfers related to EU MDR implementation results

Your qualifications and expieriences

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or related technical field


• 2 to 3 years of manufacturing, quality, and/or project management experience in supplier process development


• Experience in dealing with contracts


• Experience in working in Medical Device or other highly regulated industry


• Ability to evaluate suppliers using multiple sources of information, to identify potential solutions and implement the best solution in a timely manner


• Able to make decisions regarding the balance between performance, operational needs, and Corporate EU MDR requirements including financial implications


• Strong written/verbal communication skills including presentation skills with ability to discuss sensitive information and tailor the information to different audiences including external suppliers


• Fluent in English & German

Travel requirements

Up to 5%.
