Job Description

1400! That’s the number of field medical associates worldwide who will benefit from your expertise. As Director, Operations & Analytics you will create and execute analytics and reporting strategy, sharing them with the regions and functions, and follow-up on the necessary action plans to ensure that the Field Medical teams worldwide are generating the necessary impact in transforming clinical practice for better patient access & outcomes. You will provide strategic, functional and operational guidance for novel Field Medical tools to GMA franchises and regions, embedding customer & account engagement excellence to ensure Novartis continues to thrive in the evolving external landscape.



Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Driving an analytics plan for assessing success of Field Medical Associates Globally, continuously evaluate Field Medical activities and identify innovative ways to effectively demonstrate impact.

• Utilizing data driven engagement approaches to help GMA franchises in measuring Impact/Value Measures across the three major Field Medical Accountabilities and demonstrate the effectiveness of their associates beyond the regular activity metrics

• Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of standard and ad-hoc reports with efficient analysis of performance and trends facilitating data enabled decisions

• Utilizing algorithms, advanced analytics, AI, machine learning, etc. to identify correlations in activities which heighten knowledge of customer behaviors, thus maintaining an understanding of external environment and trends with impact/applicability on Field Medical

• Effectively collaborating with internal partners, such as analytics teams, Finance, GMA, IT, RWE, etc, and maintain a close partnership with the Global Digital Medical Affairs team to provide and embed new technologies and tools to support external interactions

• Ensure compliance with all Novartis internal guidelines and standard operating procedures as per legal/compliance/IT requirements

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Degree preferably in information technology, business management or similar with experience in analytics, operations and project management

• ≥5 years in significant pharmaceutical or healthcare companies including experience in various countries and Global organization (Medical/commercial organizations/departments, Project management, medical operations, digital)

• Strong leadership, influencing, communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Solid presentation skills with ability to communicate and engage at the highest levels in the organization in addition to quantitative skills and the ability to tell a story using data

• Track record of innovating through databases, machine learning, algorithms, and their applications. Creative big picture problem solver combined with strong analytical skills. Proven ability to develop and successfully implement new strategies and ideas.

• Acts with credibility and clarity of purpose to build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships.

• Well organized and results focused, ability to meet difficult timelines in a dynamic and changing environment
