You are the person who is refining backlog items, coding, testing, documenting, and collaborating with operations as integral parts of the development process. Tasks
You analyze software requirements and change requests regarding feasibility, complexity and impact on existing systems
You define the software architecture, the interfaces to peripheral systems as well as the required technical and human resources
You evaluate tools for software engineering and define product and software versions
You analyse, design and implement security measures as well as implement and maintain the software applications, components and interfaces
You analyse and fix bugs
You test new developments in the factory or directly at customer site (Travel rate 10%)
You consider electric and mechanical constraints and work in close partnership with the mechanical engineering department
You create concepts and realize software improvements during the lifecycle of the software
You maintain the documentation
Required qualifications
Technical education in software engineering
3-5 years of professional experience in software development
Experience with PLC Programming in Siemens / Rockwell / Beckhoff and Embedded C
Knowhow about interfaces and networking on the Fieldbus level
Writing of code with high quality
Ability to explain software architecture and design in spoken and written form (with diagrams)
Able to create software architecture and designs for functional and non-functional requirements
Good knowledge in object-oriented software programming, in source control management
Fluent in English
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to deal with ambiguity and complex situations
