lastminute.com group is looking for a Procurement Manager for its team based in Chiasso. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for support and control of all procurement activities for the Group. He/she will lead on delivery of key projects and coordination with all business areas.
He/she will lead the Procurement elements of any overall Cost Reduction Programme in order to deliver target benefits; identify and deliver additional vendor savings or value improvement opportunities both on an ongoing basis and in support of annual budgets; deliver the necessary procurement capability that can adequately manage the vendor base to deliver in line with developing business requirements; run day to day Procurement activities ensuring a high level of service is provided that meets the needs of Groups internal customers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities will include
● Maintain and improve an integrated procurement strategy for the Group, developing plans to deliver and support properly managed procurement activities that are fully aligned with business requirements and overall Group strategy.
● Closely work with Planning & Control providing a more detailed picture of the cost base, enriching the economic data with information related to the single provider (contracts in place, usage among the group, etc….)
● Manage and optimize the Service & Process improvement Budget
● Compile, analyse and provide consolidated reporting for procurement metrics, particularly benefits tracking.
● Support the liaise with internal customers and stakeholders to continuously improve overall service provision and responsiveness to business needs.
● Be a strong, visible Procurement lead, rapidly establishing and maintaining good working relationships, trust and confidence.
● Identify potential process improvements and implement them
● Improve and update training/support material for end-users - always collect and evaluate new requirements.
● Identify new opportunities for value creation through supply market innovation.
Skills and Experience
● Strong experience in strategic sourcing, competitive price analysis and control with a process and economic vision
● Ability to interact with the Planning & Control and to challenge the internal stakeholders on their budget assumptions
● Strong understanding of procurement in the context of a digital/online business.
● Proven track record of delivering complex procurement projects and benefits delivery.
● Broad business experience (procurement, finance)
● Possessing strong interpersonal skills and relationship management competencies, in addition to excellent influencing, presentation and written / verbal communication skills
● Demonstrated ability to think strategically and argue persuasively for a course of action.
● Strong problem solving and analytical expertise
● Ability to interact in a cross-functional environment with all levels of management
● Fluent in English
● Experience in team management
● Experience in Planning & Control area is a plus
