We are looking for a Senior Director of Finance, Change Program.
This Senior Director position is integral to the delivery of the TR Change Program that is focused on moving the organization from a holding company to an operation company while driving organic growth, improving customer experience, and improving margin. This role is focused on ensuring the program is on track for delivery and partners directly with the program management team to highlight risk and mitigation options. This role coordinates communication of program status across the TR finance organization, partnering with functional and segment finance leaders. Additionally, this role is the finance lead for the Organizational Design workstream providing insight and guidance to functional teams as they design their workforces for the future partnering closely with HR.
This role is a part of the Operations and Technology finance leadership team and reports to the Head of Finance, Operations and Technology.
About the Role
Responsibilities:
Partners with the Change Program program management team ensuring clarity of financial performance, alignment of risk and opportunity and budget management.
Partners with the Organizational Design workstream ensuring program targets are achieved, alignment of delivery to program organization goals, and execution of actions in line with forecast. Identifies opportunities for acceleration and sizes and mitigates risk.
Partners with HR leads across the organization to strategize on org design outcomes, timing and execution to achieve program goals in org design.
Coordinates forecasting and reporting on the Change program across all workstreams by:
Partnering with the Decision Support and Insights Group (DSIG) on actuals definition and reporting
Coordinating close and forecast timelines with Corporate finance and segment and function finance teams
Building forecast consolidation models (with DSIG)
Manages financial communication across the enterprise
Responsible for results and forecast reporting to CFO
Coordinates commentary consolidation across the program
Partners with program management team on steering committee commentary
Ensures results and forecast details are communicated to segments and functions
Addresses ad hoc requests across the program working with finance workstream leads across the program to address special requests and insights
Drive process improvements across the program through identifying and leveraging best practices. Maintain a leadership role in a variety of business initiatives, supporting growth and productivity.
Ensure a strong financial control environment across the program in which all business and financial practices including accounting processes are in compliance with the Thomson Reuters policies & procedures.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Director of Finance, Change Program if you have:
MBA or other related advanced degree required, CPA in addition a plus.
At least 12 years progressive financial leadership experience.
Strong leadership skills and success in leading change
Strong financial acumen and highest integrity.
Demonstrated leadership and self-initiative skills required, with the ability to interact well with people at various levels across an organization in an environment of changing priorities and time constraints
Experience working in a matrix reporting structure.
Ability to develop strong partnership/team building relationships with the business and across multiple locations
Ability to identify opportunities for improving financial and business operations
Excellent verbal and written presentation/communication skills, including experience presenting at the executive level.
Proven ability to operate comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment
