Senior Test Architect
We are looking for a Senior Test Architect, who has technical understanding of the products and how they should be tested. You will be responsible for helping all test teams in the buildup phase of new test systems and make sure they are aligned, future proof and fitting the customer needs. In this role you will be interfacing directly with the hardware and development teams, capturing the test needs, and bringing them to definition and actively sharing know-how of the existing systems. Understanding the new requirements and how to verify the functionality is part of your work. For this you will collaborate with our test lead, as well as our verification and validation team for the overall goal of delivering high quality products for our customers.
You will be part of the Verification and Validation team, which is responsible for the definition, development, planning, execution and review of the tests of u-blox positioning products. We are a multicultural, friendly and highly collaborative team split between Switzerland and Finland. Your analysis skills will enable you to find issues and work with colleagues to resolve them. And as a team player, you are able to deal with multiple requests, optimizing your daily work according to the priorities you have set with your colleagues.
The role is located in Thalwil.

Your Responsibilities
 

  • Study of upcoming products and defining their technical tests.

  • Understanding of the technical testing needs for existing and new GNSS platforms and products.

  • Improve test coverage and test environments.

  • Collaboration with technical experts and bring in design for test at module level in our GNSS products, platforms and features.

  • Provide technical know-how, documentation and training to test and other teams.

  • Keep the focus on cost optimized test solutions.

Your Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as Test Engineer

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronic/Hardware Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Familiar with hardware validation and characterization

  • Good knowledge of lab instrumentation

  • English fluent both written and spoken

  • Pro-active attitude and a strong desire to collaborate

Bonus Point

  • Good understanding of revision control systems (like Git)

  • Experience on serial communication (uart, usb, spi, i2c)

  • Experience in module production testing.

  • Experience in linux systems
