Senior IC DfT Engineer
u-blox is highly specialized in baseband and RF ASIC design. Our designs result in advanced system-on-chip solutions typically including one or more ARM CPUs, peripherals, and dedicated baseband communications processing hardware. U-blox is a fabless company, focusing on key IP development. For IC DfT positions u-blox aims at a wide span of responsibilities to establish a challenging and diversified work environment.
As a Senior DfT Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal chip testability at die and package level. Furthermore, you will be responsible for defining and integrating proper DfT architecture (including blocks isolation, BISTs, TAP controllers) and for scan insertion, pattern generation and pattern debugging. In addition, you will support quality department with failure mode and RMA analysis.
This position is foreseen in Thalwil, Switzerland, but other locations are also possible.
Your Responsibilities

  • Meet optimal test coverage and test time

  • Test Concept definition and derived Test Specification

  • DfT insertion flow (incl. SDC constrains) and pattern generation.

  • Design/integrate DfT structures as required in RTL.

  • Ensure readiness for production

  • Study industrial standards and best practices to improve methodology

Your Skills and Experience

  • Experience in full product life cycle of ASIC Design

  • Experience with Cadence, Siemens and/or Synopsys test insertion and ATPG tools

  • Experience with JTAG IEEE-1149.1 and IEEE-1149.6 (AC JTAG)

  • Experience with at-speed scan testing, and test compression

  • Experience integrating DFT features of 3rd party IP

  • Experience with memory BIST and logic BIST

  • Experience generating test patterns and analysing and debugging test failures

  • Experience working with test engineers to implement ATPG vectors on tester hardware

  • Proficiency in HDL (VHDL/Verilog)

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Python or Perl

  • Proficiency in Synthesis, SDC timing constraints and Static Timing Analysis

Bonus Point (if applicable, not mandatory)

  • C++ knowledge

  • Automated Test Equipment (ATE) knowledge (e.g. ADVANTEST, LTX)
