Nanolive, a growing scale-up company situated at the Lake Geneva Park in Tolochenaz has developed a disruptive technology that allows users for the first time ever to explore a living cell in 3D without damaging it. To support its growth, Nanolive is looking for a highly motivated and outstanding Field Service Engineer.


Location 


Based out of our head office in Tolochenaz, Switzerland and primarily covering Europe. An average of 70% traveling time.

Job Description


This position is ideal for a self-motivated, practical, enthusiastic individual. The mission of the Field Service Engineer is to support the installed base of our 3D Cell Explorer products and the new installations at customer sites across Europe. Playing a key role in the quality and success of the 3D Cell Explorer and the experience of our users the correct candidate will need to have great communication skills, an investigative mind and be good at problem solving with an attention to detail.


Tasks & Responsibilities



  • Field installations and configurations of new units and upgrades (software and hardware)

  • Field service visits (part of service agreement)

  • Remote technical support

  • Remote diagnostic, maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Repairs

  • Provide technical training to our users, distributors and internally

  • Create and maintain technical service documentation, knowledge base and procedures

  • Report service expenses and costs

  • Escalate critical issues

  • Collaborate with R&D, Technical Sales Specialists (TSS) and Field Application Specialists (FAS) on a regular basis

  • Good customer relationship with the objective of driving customer satisfaction and loyalty


 Desired Skills and Qualifications



  • Minimum Bachelor in Electronics, Computer Science, Micro-Engineering or related field

  • Prior field service experience

  • Prior knowledge of microscopy and laser technologies is a bonus.

  • Driver’s license

  • Able to work independently with a well-developed sense of urgency

  • Enthusiasm to support a new technology in the market

  • Team player spirit, a quick perception and a resourceful and fast-learning mindset

  • Strong sense of commitment and responsibility to respect planning

  • Service oriented and continuous improvement mindset

  • Creative approach to problem solving

  • Good communication skills with customers

  • Excellent computer skills
