We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer, to work in Grenchen.

essential duties and responsibilities.

• Serve as the focal person for commodity-related quality and functional issues that stem from components being purchased for manufacturing.


• Ensure that all production critical supplier issues are resolved on time, and corrective actions are implemented correctly.


• Serve as the point of contact for Inspection Plans and Inspection Methods and guide to Receiving Inspection Auditors.


• Ensuring ongoing site supplier evaluation is performed. This would be achieved by using site information collected from Receiving Inspection, MRB, Customer Returns, SCAR database, and liaison efforts with customer work cells. The performance will be reported internally, to the supplier, and to the customer where applicable.


• Perform supplier audit interfacing with Corporate SQE if applicable.


• To provide documentation to perform Inspection of components per Inspection Plans in SAP.


• Monitor and drive PPM issues with the supply base in addition to helping them achieve 'Dock to Stock' certified with Jabil (according to the vendor performance system).


• Drive supplier selection strategies that will yield a supply base that can be used across all customer programs providing leverage cost savings.


• Proactively communicate information or issues that may impact the product costs of manufacturability to all affected departments.


• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by the supervisor.


• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

Qualifikation

• Bachelor's degree required, bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred


• 2 to 4 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.


• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.


• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.


• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.


• English fluent, good command of German is a big plus.
